Happy 1st Anniversary Gibsons!

As I will be taking a hiatus this summer before and after baby number threes arrival I figured I'd catch up and schedule some blog posts. Starting with my gorgeous sister-in-law's wedding from last May.

I felt so privileged that she trusted me to shoot her wedding as it was only my second one at the time. It had been raining all day in Columbia, SC but cleared up just in time before hand so they were able to proceed with an outdoor wedding.

I was thrilled Ginavra & Robert agreed to do a first look with me.

Hopkin's Wedding Blog Feature

I have been neglecting blogging again. I'm going to try to get some sessions from the past 6 months up here over the next couple weeks.

Starting with my sweet friends wedding. My very first time shooting a wedding solo.  After a four year engagement these two finally tied the knot on March 17th. I was honored to be a part of their intimate ceremony.

Here are some of the highlights.

Love it when the groom reacts to seeing his bride for the first time.

I Got Published on a Book Cover! (FREE e-book Download)

I am so bad with blogging....

Last summer I got to fulfill one of my dreams while helping a friend at the same time!

I got to do a 1940's vintage themed photoshoot and two of the photos ended up on my friend Stephanie Baumgartner's book covers!

Sophia's War is about a young girl in Germany before and during World War II. It's got a little bit of everything drama, suspense, romance. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series and I am looking forward to reading the rest.

The author Stephanie Baumgartner is very passionate about her writing and this period of time in the 1940's. She has spent countless hours researching this era and the country of Germany. These books and the characters give you a glimpse of life during this changing time. I've laughed and cried while reading them.

Starting today and for the next 5 days you can download Sophia's War: The End of Innocence for FREE!
That's right FREE! The Kindle E-book is available for download here: Sophia's War: The End of Innocence [Kindle Edition] So go download it and READ it!

You can read Stephanie's Blog here: http://stephaniebaumgartner.com/
Find her on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/smbaumgartner
And become of fan of Sophia's War here: https://www.facebook.com/sophiaswar

Here are a few other photos from my shoot! Enjoy!

Miller Wedding- Second Shooting for Summer Wyers Photography

At the beginning of this month I had the privilege of second shooting for Summer Wyers Photography . It was a small, short and sweet wedding that took place at the Burnett Mansion in Sapulpa, OK. I loved it! I could definitely see getting into weddings when things settle down after baby number two comes in November.

I rented the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 II for the weekend. It's a fantastic lens that I'd definitely invest in if I start to shoot weddings on a regular basis.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the wedding! Enjoy!
